Hyper-flow jet pump

The FZ Hyper-Flow jet pump propulsion system features a three-blade stainless steel impeller that is designed to maximise water flow. The pump configuration provides excellent hook-up and smooth acceleration, instantly converting raw power into usable propulsion.

Race-style cockpit

Two large and stylish red-accented analogue meters reveal the racing spirit and true character of the FZS, providing a clear view of speed and RPM in a single glance. The rider can see and feel the craft responding to the slightest touch of the throttle.

Remote security with Low-RPM Mode™

This innovative system is an industry-first for Yamaha. One click on the remote transmitter button engages a special "L" mode (Low RPM) to limit top speed – ideal for controlled manoeuvring. For your security and peace of mind, pushing a second button disables the ignition, preventing an accidental start-up – or an unauthorised joyride.

Unique telescopic steering adjustment

Water conditions change quickly, so you'll appreciate the telescopic steering column of the FZS, which means you can adjust your riding stance to match. Adopt the classic, attack-minded forward-leaning position – or stand up for extra ride comfort in choppy waters. Switching naturally between the two positions is easy and instinctive.

Race-inspired hull

The specially designed, lightweight NanoXcel® hull delivers optimum performance in changeable water conditions. The round keel offers nimble turning performance, all the while reducing rider load. The bow is perfectly formed to provide natural handling, added agility, and unprecedented predictability. So rider is connected to water like never before.

Supercharged, 1812cc, 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, DOHC engine

The supercharged, intercooled, 4-stroke 1812cc engine provides truly impressive power. With this large 1.8 litre displacement power unit, high capacity intake duct and specially designed impeller, the FZS delivers eye-popping acceleration and superb high-speed performance – whatever your style of riding.

A world-leading reputation has to be earned and with so many years of history behind them, today's WaveRunners are renowned for their agility and all-round performance on the water – and Yamaha's pioneering development of ultra-efficient 4-stroke engine technology means no other watercraft comes close.

From the lightweight NanoXcel® hull to the supercharged, intercooled 4-stroke 1812cc engine, Yamaha design, technology and engineering is at the forefront of innovation and advancement.

Finishing touches add luxury to the package, so the result is a blend of performance, agility and comfort that is equally suited to cruising or sports riding.

Reverse Traction Control system

This advanced and innovative feature makes it easy to perform smooth, safe and professional manoeuvres during launching – and when docking or coming alongside other craft. The system works by limiting the RPM available in Reverse and reducing cavitation.

Large glovebox with dual cup holders

With a large glovebox, essential items are always readily available even while you're riding. Dual cup holders ensure that refreshment is always close to hand for both you and a passenger.

Although designed to deliver the thrill and excitement of high performance solo riding, the versatile and luxurious 3-seat FZS is also a premium fast-cruising machine.

With an advanced NanoXcel® hull – the lightest in its class – combined with the extraordinary power of a large displacement, 1.8 litre supercharged engine, thrilling acceleration and high-speed performance come as standard. A rounded keel and special bow shape transform cornering and handling performance as well as providing added comfort.

Clever telescopic steering allows you to carve hard in the classic lean-forward position or make a quick adjustment in choppy water to ride securely in the stand-up style.
